Attending Collages: Collectivity through the Ages.
This event organised by Care Corner Family Service Centre (Toa Payoh) commemorates the 35th Anniversary of Care Corner. Held at HDB Hub Atrium, there were many stalls for food and games. We interacted with the FINs there as well.

Solemnity of The Immaculate Conception of The Blessed Virgin Mary
About 100 people (members of SSVP & members from the various ministries of Risen Christ Church), attended the service which was held at The Mount Alvernia Hospital chapel at 7 pm.
The celebrants were Fr. John Sim and Fr. Kamil, with guest priests Fr Jeannequin & Fr Loiseau.
Cakes and drinks were served at the end of the service.
There was also a get together dinner after the service at Fragrant Garden restaurant.

Christmas caroling with Friends-in-Need 2016
On 2nd Dec 2016, some Vincentians visited 3 families to bring some Christmas cheers to them. Though caroling was part of the agenda, the Vincentians also managed to catch up with the FINs about their lives. A packet of fruits were given to each household.

Chalet with FINs children at Changi CSC & Changi Beach Park
On 19th and 20th November, SSVP organised a chalet with the children of the FINs at Changi Civil Service Club and Changi Beach Park. 15 children attended the chalet and we had 18 youths who helped to organise all these activities.

Visit to nursing homes and hospitals
On 24/25 October, 5 members visited FINs at NTUC Health Nursing Home, Pearl's Hill Care Home and Thye Hua Kwan Hospital at Ang Mo Kio.

Talk on Walking In the Shoes Of FINs
A talk on "Walking in the shoes of FINs" where members had a better understanding of FINs' difficulties in seeking help from various agencies. There were role plays of real cases and sharing of experiences by Vincentian's.

Rehearsal for SSVP children's chalet
We are privileged to have youth volunteers assisting us in organising the SSVP children's chalet in November 2016. To prepare for the chalet, we went through the responsibilities, schedule of games and activities. It was a lot of fun!
